Congratulations! Is this publication available for purchase? I would love to buy this issue or subscribe to it. I will contact SIJ. I just read your two poems published in Sky Island Journal. Nonconsensual made me blush in a good way and brought me back to my own secreted moments. (Ah, my 20’s…..) . The Photograph gave me pause as your writing always does — the sum up “And if that’s not love what is?” Brilliant! You’re amazing Jean Ryan! Hail!

Were you able to contact SIJ? They are such fine peeps, Jason and Jeff, and what a good eye they have for quality literature–browse through any issue. I just sent them four more poems for consideration, as well as a reworking of my short essay on yoga pants. Still waiting for responses on The Year Before I Loved You from the big boys–The Sun and Copper Nickel. So you see I am following your advice and pitching to the luminaries. Thank you, by the way, for remembering Snow and sending those two pics of it.
Did you see the super blood moon? We did. At first we could not find it and then I chanced to look straight up and there it was, far, far away, a small red orb. The one we saw in Napa was lower in the sky and so appeared much bigger. But of course every super moon is worth appreciating.
