Some Recent Paintings

Thought it was time I posted more of my acrylic paintings. I still do many pet
portrait commissions and look forward to the surprise and happiness they bring.

This is a memorial painting for a gal in Arkansas, her beloved dog Fred, a three-legged sweetheart. Acrylic paint, natural hardwood back.
It’s been awhile since I posted any artwork, so here are a few photos of some recent work, most of it in collaboration with my woodworker/scroll saw maestro wife. I am doing more and more commissioned pet portraits–canines are much in demand.
Our Etsy store is now open for business! These are just a few of our newly framed pieces. We also have rustic Welcome signs. Great gifts for the nature lovers in your life.
It has been a while since I last posted images of my artwork. I recently set up an Etsy storefront, 4HandsArtShop, through which my work can be purchased. I am still loading images on Etsy, but for now, here’s a peek at some of my new creations. Thank you for stopping by.

A dear friend commissioned me to paint this 5×7 portrait of his beloved spaniel. I began to love this dog as I rendered his image, which is something that happens every time I paint: with care and focus comes love. Instead of taking payment, I asked my friend to make a donation to the Animal Welfare Institute. In this way we all win. I am eager to do more of these portraits, each one a small contribution to the healing of this world.
It’s been several months since I posted any of my acrylic paintings, so here are twenty of my most recent efforts. As you can see, I am drawn to animal portraits. These were all rendered from photos that captivated me.
