Beautiful and harrowing photograph. I used to walk past the statue of Balto in Central Park daily and it always reminded me how grateful I am to have my own 2 dogs at home. That sweet wee dog in this photo is not only a comfort but also a much needed distraction, too, right? That universe that exists between us and our pets. Thanks for posting this Jean!
